This is an opportunity to join a growing School that brings together significant experience in the areas of Community Health and Wellbeing; Sport and Health Sciences; Sport and Social Sciences; Education and Leadership and Human Performance. The School has presence at both our Hamilton and Tauranga campuses.

We are looking to appoint an outstanding academic scholar in the area of Biomedical Sciences covering Human Immunology, Anatomy and Pathophysiology to contribute and enhance our capability in this field. A demonstrated track-record in university teaching, research, student supervision and service are essential. Other key attributes will be evidenced through a research record in this field of study at a national and international level.

The successful applicant will have a PhD in a relevant discipline, and demonstrated expertise teaching at all levels of study and have the ability to bridge the theory/practice divide as it relates to community health. The ability to attract external research funding is also required, as is a commitment to using innovative teaching and culturally responsive approaches. Preference will be given to candidates that have demonstrated commitment to Biomedical Sciences research and teaching that is underpinned by principles and practices of Mātauranga Māori.

Current salary range for Lecturers is NZ$75,514 to $90,946 per year and Senior Lecturers NZ$93,544 to $123,726 per year, depending on qualifications, skills and experience.
