Overview:

The Academic Registry & Council Secretariat (ARCS) seeks to appoint an Academic Standards and Quality Officer to manage and support a broad portfolio of responsibilities relating to academic standards and the quality of the student experience at QMUL.

The post holder will work closely with a range of colleagues across the institution on projects related to teaching, learning, and the student experience, taking the lead in some areas of work as required.

The ideal candidate will have a background in higher education administration with experience of the management, development and implementation of policies and procedures in a teaching and learning setting, and knowledge of the national teaching and learning agenda. The post holder will be able to work independently, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and will be able to apply expert knowledge in a variety of contexts across the full range of ARCS operations.

The post is full time and permanent. Starting salary will be in the range of £37,411 - £44,015 per annum inclusive of London Allowance.  Benefits include 30 days leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006.  Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
