This is an exciting time to join Staffordshire University in a newly created senior post to provide leadership and management for our university apprenticeship portfolio. Apprenticeships are a core strand of our commitment, as a connected university, to developing the current and future workforce through employer-led, flexible, relevant and digitally supported work-based study routes to gain technical and vocational degree level qualifications.

As part of our commitment to innovation in learning and teaching in apprenticeships, and following an £8 million HEFCE/OfS catalyst award, Staffordshire University has committed to recruiting 1,500 apprentices in the next 3 years and 6,500 by 2028.In 2019 we won the tender to deliver Police Constable Degree Apprenticeships for four West Midland Police forces, adding significantly to the growing number of apprenticeships across our academic schools.

We are seeking an ambitious individual to lead and manage the delivery of our apprenticeships portfolio. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for applicants who can bring to this role, significant understanding and experience of successful delivery of higher and degree level apprenticeships.
Staffordshire University has recently been awarded Gold in the Teaching Excellence and Student Outcomes Framework (TEF) and ranked 8th for student satisfaction in the latest Complete University Guide League table. We have also achieved our highest ever ranking position of 37th in Guardian League tables.
