The University of Lincoln is seeking to appoint an International Officer who will lead on the University’s recruitment activities across Africa.
Situated in the heart of a beautiful and historic city, the University of Lincoln has established an international reputation for the quality of its teaching and research. The University is a TEF Gold institution and is ranked 22nd in the Guardian University Guide 2019. It is an ambitious and dynamic organisation which prides itself on deep engagement with employers and its local communities, and thought-leadership within the UK HE sector.
The post holder will need to have experience in international student recruitment, ideally in key markets across Africa such as Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya.
The post holder will be responsible for building and managing a network of agents across the region and working in conjunction with the Colleges of the University to source potential partnership. In addition, the post holder will be responsible for establishing and developing in-country alumni networks and links with other stakeholders.
This role requires an enthusiastic, self-motivated and sales driven individual. The position will sit within the International Office and a key aim of this department is to deliver student recruitment numbers from a range of markets in line with agreed targets. The role’s objective will be to promote the University’s brand in allocated markets in support of student recruitment, partnership development and conversion.
The International Officer will work as part of a team and the successful candidate will lead on a specific regional focus, but will also be expected to contribute across the full range of the team’s activities. The International Officer will develop and implement a recruitment strategy to achieve agreed targets. A key element of the strategy will involve developing the University's presence in country alongside establishing new recruitment channels.
This position does not fulfil the UK Visas & Immigration sponsorship criteria for Tier 2.
