Research Assistant in Psychological Medicine
The post-holders will work on analyses of data using the unique Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) resource at the Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC), and will assist in developing capacity within CRIS through several strategic initiatives. These 6-month posts are particularly aimed to suit recent MSc graduates with experience of working with clinical informatics data and who wish to gain further experience of employment in this sector. A particular focus will be on helping the CRIS team develop useful algorithms to support its research portfolio – including natural language processing (‘text mining’) resources. The post-holders will work alongside specialist staff in developing these, contributing particularly on working with clinical text to evaluate the performance of algorithms under development and to help to improve this.
