This role is shared by the Department of Humanities and Creative Industries and the Department of Business, Law & Society, both of which sit within the faculty of Education, Humanities and Social Science and will offer support to courses in Creative Media, Film & Screen Media, Film & Digital Production, Acting, Technical Theatre, Sports Journalism and a suite of Communications programmes. As well as championing academic excellence, our curricula are designed to enhance students’ employability, with a focus on vocational training and strong professional links. Student satisfaction and postgraduate employment are both well above the national average.

You will have a degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (or equivalent work experience) and be able to demonstrate experience of working with students with different abilities at undergraduate and post graduate level. It is essential that you possess an up to date knowledge of digital technologies and specifically, advanced skills in practical film production, particularly camera, lighting and sound set up/ production.

It is desirable that you can demonstrate advanced skills in Mac Computer support, Adobe desktop publishing software including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator & post production skills in Premiere Pro, Audition and Apple Motion.

We are also looking for someone with practical demonstration skills and a team player with strong organisational skills. It will also be an advantage if you have experience of organising exhibitions and some professional experience of studio and/or independent production work.
