We are seeking an Educational/Instructional Designer to play a substantive role in advancing the effective use of innovative and engaging learning approaches, drawing on the use of design principles to align with the overall strategic Learning and Teaching direction of the Faculty of Business and Economics.

Working as part of the WCLA team, in this role you would be responsible for leading and coordinating activities designed to build awareness and support for the Centre's work, and for the development of a suite of diagnostic/evaluation tools, and both face to face and online learning and training programs to support teaching staff in the FBE. You will need to demonstrate an ability and willingness to engage in teaching and learning research relevant to the Centre.

To be successful on this role you will possess a relevant postgraduate qualification (or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience). You will also have demonstrated experience in strategic thinking and strong conceptual skills with high level ability to initiate, develop and make recommendations in relation to learning design in curriculum development, delivery and assessment. Also required is an ability and established track record to create and implement effective educational design frameworks based on established models for constructive alignment of learning outcomes, tasks and assessments. You should be able to apply these to the development of curriculum based, high quality learning resources and experiences. Learning designers currently employed in a professional services capacity, or with experience in this, are strongly encouraged to apply.
