Job description

We are currently seeking a 0.5 Lecturer (Education) in Media Analysis to join the team delivering our BA Broadcast Production and MA Media and Broadcast Production programmes. The BA in Broadcast Production and MA in Media and Broadcast Production are intensely practical degree programmes, which also incorporate theoretical engagement with the history, theories and analysis of the media.

The successful candidate will teach core modules on the history and analysis of broadcast media at MA and BA level, with a particular focus on radio and television. They will also be able to teach a module on gender and broadcasting. There will be opportunities to contribute to the ongoing development of the non-practice elements of these degrees, and we are particularly interested in candidates with research interests in sound studies and in current and future developments in the audio-visual media landscape.
