There is a longstanding partnership between the College and Flinders Medical Centre, and the College continues to develop partnerships with healthcare institutions throughout the Central Australian Corridor.

The College is now seeking to appoint the inaugural Dean (Rural and Remote Health) to lead and continue to grow the University’s work in delivering transformative education and healthcare to rural and remote communities in Australia. The Dean will provide strategic leadership and management to the Flinders NT and rural South Australian locations, including The Centre for Remote Health, The Poche Centre for Indigenous Health and the Northern Territory Medical Program.

The successful individual will bring demonstrated leadership within a rural or remote setting. In addition, individuals must have evidence of a track record of forging successful partnerships with communities, including Indigenous communities, governments and health care providers across Australia. The role is open to applicants aligned with the medical and health sector as the appointee will be expected to foster a culture of excellence in research, teaching, program delivery, and student services. The successful candidate will provide leadership in enhancing the profile of the Flinders University Rural and Remote Health discipline locally, nationally and internationally.
