Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow / Senior Research Assistant in Learning Design and Learning Analytics in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 498323), to commence as soon as possible until June 30, 2020.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Education, Instructional Design or related fields, with specific focus on e-learning, e-learning pedagogy, learning technology design and/or teacher professional development for e-learning/e-assessment innovations. Demonstrated ability in academic writing, evaluation of educational innovation, and/or experience in research project management would be a clear advantage. Applicants with a Master’s degree in related fields may be considered for appointment as Senior Research Assistant.
The appointee will play a key role in the project “An Open Learning Design, Data Analytics and Visualization Framework for E-Learning”, which is an inter-institutional collaborative research project involving researchers from The University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He/She will work under the supervision of Professor Nancy Law and is expected to contribute to the development of learning and assessment design models and tools that guide and support e-learning course design and the advance planning of specific learning analytics and feedback. Courses on computational thinking (K-12 and higher education) will be a core focus for this research project.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
