The School of Accounting at Curtin Business School offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the accounting study area, as well as an undergraduate program in accounting technologies. These programs are designed to provide our graduates with qualifications that are industry-relevant and in demand.
Your new role
The School of Accounting is seeking two lecturers to join an established team of academics to conduct research and deliver teaching on a continuing basis, commencing Semester 1, 2020.
As a Lecturer, it's expected to have a growing profile in teaching, research and service/leadership. You will work as part of a team providing innovation and excellence in teaching within the area of accounting. You will be responsible for coordinating and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate level units, and undertake supervision of postgraduate research students, conduct research, and undertake administrative duties.
You will bring to the role
To be considered for this role, you must have a doctoral qualification in accounting or other related areas. You will be able to show demonstrated potential to conduct quality research, contribute productively to research teams and publish in top tier (A*/A) academic accounting journals. Additionally, you will be able to show a demonstrated ability to teach effectively as well as a commitment to reflective improvement in teaching delivery.
Membership in CPA Australia, The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, or equivalent professional accounting body is preferred.
