We are seeking to recruit an ICT Systems Administrator as part of the Infrastructure team in IT Services.
This role will work on current projects and operational tasks. The initial focus for this role will be on the operation of the current highly available NetApp stretched metro cluster, the development of detailed DR operating procedures and the further development and enhancement of cloud hosted ICT services.
The successful candidate will have excellent technical knowledge and strong IT System Administration experience to provide effective system administration support for ICT infrastructure services across hosting platforms in use. The successful candidate will also actively participate in the design, development and operation of the portfolio of ICT services This is a varied and exciting role and will require the aptitude to context switch within the technology stack. It would be expected that the successful candidate would attend sector IT events and workshops, and Vendor roadmaps
Because the role may involve supporting critical infrastructures and services, it may be necessary to work outside normal hours on occasion.
Administrative Officer Grade II Salary Scale: €37,323 – €53,707 p.a. (9 points)
Appointment will be made in accordance with the Department of Finance pay guidelines.
*New entrants to the public sector will be appointed on the first point of the above scale.
