Research Fellow - Haematology / Leukaemia UK Mind & Body Team
The integration of physical and mental healthcare is a core aim of the new Institute of Haematology. We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Research Fellow to join our Haematology / Leukaemia UK Mind & Body Team based at King’s College Hospital Foundation NHS Trust, providing integrated biopsychosocial care to people with haemato-oncological and haematological disorders.
By appointing a specialist, multi-disciplinary Mind & Body team of psychiatrist, clinical psychologist, social worker and allied health professionals together with a Research team, our aim is to firmly embed holistic mental health support at the centre of every patient’s treatment underpinned by a programme of research and evaluation to evidence the case for continuation and development.
This new role, jointly funded by the Haematology Institute and Leukaemia UK, would suit a dedicated, ambitious Research Fellow seeking an opportunity to be part of this programme to improve wellbeing and healthcare provision through this exciting new initiative.
The successful candidate will assist the Project Lead with the delivery of the project. Your main roles will be to develop quantitative and qualitative datasets from patients receiving the integrated services and from the health care professionals delivering the service to support the delivery of the Programme outcomes. There will be a need for flexibility within the working day to travel between sites e.g. from KCH Denmark Hill to GSTT.
This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 18 months. This is a full-time post.
The selection process will include a panel interview, an assessment, a presentation.
