SENIOR MEMBER RELATIONS REPRESENTATIVE, MIT Federal Credit Union (MITFCU), to be responsible for establishing memberships, processing deposit account and loan applications, and delivering outstanding member service. Will provide members with information, assistance, and solutions and become and remain fully-versed in all products and services in order to be responsive to member’s requests and enhance their financial relationships to the Credit Union. Responsibilities include opening new membership accounts and processing applications; assisting members with loan applications; verifying and collecting all loan applications and documentation; initiating loan applications’ processing; disbursing loan proceeds at loan closings; processing IRA accounts, contributions, and distributions; ordering checks and/or ATM/debit cards; processing payroll deduction requests; providing information on all products and services, cross-selling them, and informing/educating members on e-services; responding to member inquiries; processing signature guarantee requests; performing quality review on member transactions; maintaining branch inventory; assisting in opening and closing of the branch; participating in annual student drives and promotions; and implementing and complying with all policies and procedures of MIT and MITFCU. 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: a high school diploma or equivalent certificate of education; a minimum of one year of experience in financial services or retail; strong member service, communication, and interpersonal skills; detail orientation; strong organizational skills; and good working knowledge of computers and Microsoft programs. Credit union, banking, or other financial industry experience strongly preferred. Experience with cash handling, credit card transactions, and balancing is also preferred.  Job #17804-3

The schedule for the position is Monday through Wednesday and Friday, 8:45 A.M. to 4:45 P.M. and Thursday, 8:45 A.M. to 5:45 P.M.

May work at any of the MITFCU's three branches - on campus in the Tech Square and/or Student Center branches or in the Lexington branch at Lincoln Laboratory.
