Applications are invited for a 10 month fixed-term position as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences at Northumbria University.

You will provide expertise in any area relevant to Computer & Information Sciences, however applications from people with experience in the following areas are particularly welcome: Information and Data Science, HCI, Java Programming, Web Programming, Networks and Operating Systems, Software Testing and Verification, or Embedded Systems. The significant focus of this post will be on learning and teaching in academic year 2019/20, however you will also contribute to the wider activities of the Department such as enhancement of research activity, and engagement with business and enterprise. You will be based in our new state-of-the-art £7m Computer and Information Sciences building, at the heart of our campus in the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne.

You must hold a first degree and have subject expertise in Computer Science with specialist knowledge gained through research activity, professional practice or consultancy. Proven ability to deliver high quality teaching within one or more of the above subjects is essential and it is desirable that you should be either qualified or soon to be qualified to Doctoral level in a relevant discipline, Membership (or eligibility for membership) of a relevant professional body is also desirable.
