About the Job

As the Research Associate, you will contribute to both research and teaching activities in the School of Engineering, working specifically on a research project funded by the Department of Defence’s Next Generation Technology Fund.

You will conduct high quality research, under limited supervision and in collaboration with industry and other stakeholders, into the field of acoustic signal and sensor processing and complex target detection. This will include designing experiments and drafting reports, abstracts, scientific papers, and documenting research findings.

Skills and Experience

A PhD in the general fields of remote sensing, acoustics, signal/image processing, or related fields, is essential, combined with expertise in the development of signal and/or sensor processing techniques. You will also have a demonstrated record of research achievement, evidenced through published work as first author in peer-reviewed journals of high standing.

Your ability to collaborate effectively in a multi-disciplinary research environment, along with your excellent verbal and written communication ability will ensure your success in the role.
