Green Templeton College

Principal

Green Templeton is a contemporary, innovative and values-driven College within the University of Oxford.  As one of the newest and largest graduate colleges with 600 students, it offers a distinctive student experience, defined by a genuine commitment to inclusion and collaboration.  With an exceptional fellowship and diverse student body, Green Templeton has fostered an egalitarian ethos that underpins all aspects of College life.

The fellowship includes world-leading researchers and practitioners who are dedicated to the pursuit of interdisciplinary work and societal impact.  A vibrant academic community, the College thrives at the nexus of business and management, health and medicine, and social sciences.  Through innovative scholarship across policy and practice, the College has a positive impact at the forefront of global challenges.

The College is poised at an exciting point in its evolution and is looking forward to the future with ambition.  It is well positioned to make an important contribution to the University of Oxford’s planned enlargement of the graduate population, and the scheduled expansion of the Radcliffe Observatory Quarter will physically place the College at the epicentre of the University’s future.  These initiatives offer an exceptional opportunity to take the College to new heights.

At this pivotal time, the College seeks a new Principal to deliver on its strategic potential.  The Principal is the central figure promoting the College’s life and work, ensuring collegial decision making and developing ambitious strategic plans.  Through visible and engaging leadership, they will sustain the College’s position as a leading academic contributor for delivering innovative solutions and influencing real-world debates.  It is a demanding and rewarding role, requiring a wholehearted commitment to the College and its members.

The Principal will be an engaging leader, who commands the respect of the College community and understands and is sympathetic to the aims of academia and the College ethos.  Candidates will have sustained experience of leading in complex mission-driven environments and will have excellent interpersonal skills.  They will have a track record of developing and supporting diverse, robust, and purposeful communities.  The College seeks an individual who will embody its collaborative and interdisciplinary values and be committed to preserving its distinctive egalitarian ethos.

The College welcomes applicants with a distinguished record of achievement from any professional background.
