Your new role

The School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences is seeking a talented teaching and research academic, who will be responsible for:

  • Teaching Immunology (and other related subjects) to undergraduate, honours and postgraduate students;
  • Acting as a unit coordinator;
  • Developing a coherent programme of nationally competitive and high quality research in Medical/Biomedical Sciences;
  • Participating in and acting as co or chief investigator in applications for competitive funding;
  • Supervising research honours, research masters and research doctoral students;
  • Disseminating research findings and publishing in high quality refereed journals.

You will bring to the role

  • A doctoral qualification in Medical/Biomedical Sciences.
  • Expertise in immunology and evidence of a research program that will be applicable to the School.
  • Demonstrated capability of high quality tertiary teaching in the Biomedical Sciences discipline.
  • An established record of research outputs/creative works in high quality refereed academic journals/outlets consistent with the discipline.
  • A history of successful competitive grant applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise higher degree research students.
  • Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills.
