Applications are invited for appointment as Associate Professor (several posts) in the School of Nursing (Ref.: 497266), to commence as soon as possible on a two- or three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in nursing or other disciplines, and preferably possess a primary nursing qualification registrable with the Nursing Council of Hong Kong.  They should have a strong track record of high-quality impactful research indicated by international publications and successful external grant applications. They should have an international standing, distinguished scholarship and leadership, and the ability to work across different health science disciplines. They should demonstrate a strong commitment to, and excellence in, teaching and enhancement of nursing and healthcare-related courses. Proven experience in capacity building, supervising and mentoring early-career researchers and research students is essential.

The appointees will be expected to develop independent research programmes with external research funding from competitive research schemes, actively contribute to research and educational innovations, and undertake teaching duties at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. 

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.  Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
