We are currently recruiting for a Senior Lecturer in Mathematical Sciences in order to complement our existing interdisciplinary expertise in Applied Statistics, Mathematics and Computer Science. The role is initially offered full-time (1.0 FTE) for 2 years.

The successful candidate will be an Applied Mathematician, Mathematical Physicist or Mathematical Biologist with interests in complex computations or data science applications. They will be responsible for shaping and delivering the mathematics underpinning the undergraduate curriculum for the Mathematical Sciences (Mathematics and Data Science), in particular the foundations of data science in Algebra and Analysis for our growing Data Science Degree Apprenticeship programme, with a view to more advanced data science applications and techniques. A well-developed record of research at an international level is considered essential. The successful candidate is expected to be committed to excellence in teaching and research, to be open to new collaborations across the School or University and with an interest in impactful, interdisciplinary or industry-related applications of Mathematical and Data Science techniques.
