The newly formed School of Justice Studies is seeking to appoint a Subject Leader in Criminal JusticeStudies. This is a senior management role within the school and the person appointed will provide academic leadership and development of the subject area.

The School of Justice Studies is formed of staff who deliver to Criminology, Policing Studies as well as Criminal Justice Studies students at UG/PG level and in Professional contexts

You will lead on the overall operational management of the Criminal Justice programmes and line management of the subject area, ensuring effective delivery of high quality undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes, including teaching in your own specialist areas.

You will be expected to lead collaborative and income-generation activities, contribute to the development of innovative delivery patterns and enhance the internationalisation strategy.

You will have a strong research profile and an evidenced ability to provide leadership at programme/subject level, including the enhancement of teaching and learning practice. You will report to the Director of School and will be a member of the School Management Team. In addition, if the interview panel believes that the candidate may be suitable for conferment to the professoriate the individual would be invited to apply and then go through the conferment process separately to the recruitment process.
