About the role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing, teaching, coordinating and moderating courses in the mathematics discipline at undergraduate, honours and graduate levels.
• Undertaking teaching and assessments of undergraduate, honours and postgraduate students within the area of mathematics.
• Supervising students undertaking project courses, honours programs and research higher degrees.
• Making a significant contribution to research activity within the School, including high quality publications, obtaining grant income, mentoring and leadership.
• Participating in team projects and various committees as required.

About you

To be considered for this position, you will have:

• Commitment to scholarship and a potential for academic advancement.
• Demonstrated commitment to and enthusiasm for teaching, and a good teaching record.
• Previous experience in academic administration, including the administration of courses.
• Evidence of an ability to work collegially and independently.
• Demonstrated interpersonal, oral and written communications skills and an ability to relate well to students and other University staff.

Your proven record in the development and implementation of innovative undergraduate and postgraduate programs, natural leadership ability, demonstrated evidence of high-quality teaching, including recognition of research and publications relevant to Mathematics disciplines will ensure your success in this role.

The salary is within the Academic Level B $94,423 to $112,129 p.a. or the Academic Level C range $115,666 to $133,374 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

Appointments will normally be at the base of the salary range.
