Applications are invited for the role of Deputy Institute Manager in the Blizard Institute, Queen Mary University of London. The Blizard Institute is the largest institute of Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry and aims to deliver excellence in all aspects of research, teaching and clinical service.

This post is to assist the Institute Manager in ensuring that the Institute operates efficiently, with the provision of high quality effective support to underpin teaching, research and wider Institute strategy. The role includes human resource management, financial and resource management and health and safety responsibilities.  The post holder will also deputise for the Institute Manager.

Applicants should be educated to degree level or have substantial relevant experience in Higher Education management. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise a demanding and varied workload.

Starting salary will be in the range £46,489 - £51,899 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, a pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
