Reporting to the Dean of Quality Assurance and Academic Affairs, the Quality Assurance Officer will have responsibility for the support of effective quality assurance processes as provided in the Quality Manual and University Regulations. Some of the main duties include supporting the programme validation and revalidations; provide support to programme teams on reporting for annual monitoring and programme review activities and assisting in maintaining definitive course and programme documentation, including tracking the curricular changes throughout the academic year. Other responsibilities include evidence gathering, assistance with the production of complex documents, copy-editing and proofreading, and web/portal updates.

Previous experience working in a similar role at an institution of further or higher education is required. The ability to work well independently and as part of a team to produce work of a high standard to specific deadlines and at times under pressure is essential. Experience of committee servicing is required. Knowledge or understanding of UK or US higher education quality assurance will be an advantage.

An undergraduate degree or equivalent working experience is required.

The Quality Assurance Officer will be based at the University’s Richmond Campus but may be required to work regularly from the University’s Kensington campus. The QA Officer may also need to occasionally travel to the University’s additional location in Leeds, England.
