Job description
We are looking to appoint an Information Specialist within the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing. You will work in the Research Support Team providing a high quality information service to researchers. You will manage the Faculty's information science resources, undertaking structured literature searches to inform the research process and helping to develop the Faculty's research programme.
This post offers an excellent opportunity to gain information skills in academic research in general, and in health technology research in particular. It would suit either a newly qualified professional who would like to specialise in health research and evidence-based health or someone with experience in health services libraries. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and IT skills, a systematic approach to work, and enjoy working collaboratively within a team.
Applicants need to meet all essential criteria on the person specification to be considered for interview. This position is based in Preston.

Hours: Full time (36.25 hours per week, 1.0 FTE)
Basis: Fixed term contract for 12 months
