Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative and motivated individual to contribute to the development and delivery of the new MSc (pre-registration) Speech and Language Therapy programme within the School of Sport and Health Sciences, University of Central Lancashire, Preston. The post holder will also contribute to the wider activities of the School, and University in regards to teaching, learning and assessment, research and development as well as commercial and other activity.

This post would be ideal for a speech and language therapist with current clinical experience and a track record in the provision of excellent clinical education. The post holder will have a contemporary understanding and knowledge of speech and language therapy, healthcare education and practice within the UK.

The applicants must have current HCPC registration and be a member of RCSLT, which they have held for a minimum of 2 years. They will hold an honours degree, and will ideally be qualified to post-graduate level. A teaching qualification or willingness to undertake on appointment is required.

The applicants must be committed to student success and experience, and be able to show that they can effectively support learning and teaching in both the classroom and/ or practice setting, including the promotion of inter-professional education.

The applicants will need to be able to work as team members, as well as be self-reliant. Presentation skills as well as planning and organisational skills are also core requirements for success in this position.
