Undergraduate Recruitment and Admissions Officer


As Undergraduate Recruitment and Admissions Officer, you’ll support The Dyson Institute in attracting and selecting gifted and talented students with a passion for engineering from across the UK. We’re looking for a determined, self-starting individual to deliver exceptional applicant experience throughout our recruitment and admissions processes.  

You’ll coordinate and attend national recruitment events and ensure the smooth running of admissions events through excellent attention to detail. You’ll administer the admissions process from start to finish, while delivering an exceptional applicant experience through professional, personal applicant management from their first interaction with us through to their first day.   

You’ll be based on the Dyson Technology campus in Malmesbury and will report into the Undergraduate Experience Manager, working closely with the Undergraduate Recruitment and Admissions Partner. You’ll be required to travel nationally for outreach and networking events. 


Administration of the admissions process from start to finish, ensuring we are ensuring we are transparent, fair, consistent, accessible, responsive and impressive at all stages. 

  • Assessing applications against established pre-screen criteria;
  • Administering online assessments;  
  • Coordinating assessment centres, including sending and managing diary invitations for assessors and volunteers, collating candidate feedback;
  • Becoming an expert in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS);
  • Working towards conducting telephone interviews in future.

Working with the Dyson Talent Acquisition Coordination team (TACO) to:

  • Collect proof of right to work and study in the UK;
  • Produce and send all contracts and offer paperwork. 

Delivering a candidate experience that reflects the excellent customer service Dyson are known for.

  • Being the first point of contact for candidates through the recruitment cycle – Managing all queries received to the inbox and over the phone, acting as a brand ambassador throughout your interactions, solving problems and providing information, guidance and support in a timely manner;
  • Building relationships with candidates from first contact through to their first day. 

Delivering compelling recruitment campaign which appeals to the right people, and helps the wrong people self-select out.

  • Representing The Dyson Institute at a number of national events;
  • Coordinating a team of Undergraduate champions who will join you at events to represent The Dyson Institute.
