We are seeking an excellent academic to join our staff as a Lecturer in Criminology, to support the delivery of our undergraduate programmes, the BCL (Law and Criminology) and BA Criminology, and our postgraduate MA in Comparative Criminology and Criminal Justice, and to contribute to the overall teaching, research, and external engagement missions of the Department of Law.

Candidates must have an excellent broad knowledge of criminological theory and criminal justice, and criminological research methods (particularly quantitative methods). We would also welcome applications from candidates with demonstrated expertise in penal policy; organised crime; and critical criminology.

Lecturer Salary Scale: €52,849 - €83,090 per annum (7 points)

Appointment will be made in accordance with the Department of Finance pay guidelines.

*New entrants to the public sector will be appointed on the first point of the above scale.
