The University of Greenwich has a growing reputation. One of the largest universities in the capital by student numbers, we are widely recognised for the quality of our learning and teaching, research that is internationally recognised and the experiences our students enjoy. We are an international student community of people from over 175 countries and a leader in transnational education.

Our emphasis on augmenting the employability of our graduates is taken very seriously as witnessed by the recent expansion of the Employability & Careers Service (ECS). The Employability & Careers Service is the underpinning professional service that supports students and graduates towards this goal. The service is now seeking to recruit an outstanding colleague to further our success in graduate employability.

The Employability Officer: Events & Activities will be situated within the Employability & Careers Service, but will work closely with colleagues in the Faculty of Education & Health on a part-time basis. They will project manage four key ECS-led events/activities, these being the Recruitment & Careers Fair, the Graduate Interview Event, employers in the curriculum and employers in career clinics. They may also support faculty-led events such as Education Fair.

Beyond events, this role will play a key part in providing 1-2-1 student appointments and curriculum-based taught sessions for first and second year students in the faculty.

The role will require an individual with excellent interpersonal skills, experience of events management and an ability to work under pressure. They must also have strong customer service skills as they will work with students, employers and faculty staff.

The University of Greenwich is based across three campuses and candidates must be willing to travel to other sites if and when required.
