Undertake this exciting and important new role within the Directorate, Facilities Management (DFM) to provide an in-house capability of master planning across our estate portfolio, including early concept design development and documentation for nominated capital projects. You will be performing a variety of planning duties to support CQUniversity’s campus needs and growth.

To be successful, you will have experience coordinating diverse stakeholder groups to implement required outcomes within conservative budgets and tight timeframes. Your experience will assist to undertake analysis and investigations and develop various costed options for senior level presentations. Following a value engineering approach, you will capture the design detail ensuring compliance with CQUni’s Design Standards Manual whilst maintaining a ‘fit for purpose’ facility for the stakeholders.

Position Requirements:

  • An Urban/Town Planning, Architecture, Building Design or related degree with relevant experience.
  • Knowledge and application of the Value Engineering (VE) approach.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite, Computer Aided Design (CAD) and other graphics packages.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Proven skills in time management, cost-benefit analysis, project management and scheduling.
  • Interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, and advanced facilitation and negotiation skills.
