Research Fellow in School of Biological Sciences

Job description 
A Research Fellow position as an expert in protein crystallography is available at the School of Biological Sciences, Nanyang Technological University (NTU). The candidate should have significant experiences and knowledge in the areas of protein engineering, recombinant expression, enzymology, protein folding, and long term experience in protein crystallization and 3D structure determination. The candidate will provide leadership and mentoring to students and other researcher working in the team. 

Requirements 

The candidate must have a PhD and long-time technical experiences and knowledge in the area of state-of-the protein crystallography, structure determination as well as skills in communication and leadership.

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility: 

• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university. 

Terms and Conditions: 
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.  
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
