Job description

The School of Humanities at Coventry University is looking for a Lecturer in Creative Writing to join our academic team on a permanent basis. This post requires a passion for teaching coupled with expertise in screenwriting. We have a particular interest in those who also have experience in video production, writing for video games, and the graphic novel. Experience teaching at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level would be ideal. Experience working with community groups would be useful. We are particularly interested in candidates with the vision to address the demands of teaching in the 21st century who recognise the need for new ways of engaging with the subject and how this new pedagogy can be explored and developed creatively through new technologies.Knowledge of higher education processes is important, and experience of teaching through workshops, seminars, lectures, and assessment is essential to the role.
