This post sits within the Institute of Health Sciences Education at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry (SMD), part of Queen Mary University of London (QMUL). Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer in Anatomy.

It is expected that the successful candidate will possess a PhD or equivalent, with relevant teaching experience. They will be expected to lead, develop and deliver to MBBS students, high quality teaching, learning and assessment in the clinically relevant basic sciences, with an emphasis on the anatomical sciences. Teaching will be delivered through dissection, station-based classes and lectures, and experience with cadaveric material is desirable.

This post is a curriculum development role and the post-holder will be expected in due course to assume responsibility for leading one or more modules of the UG medical curriculum under direction of the Head of Phase One. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop their career and develop leadership skills.

The post is full-time and initially for a 2 year fixed-term period. Starting salary will be in the range of £41,682 to £44,015 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days’ annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
