The University Library is seeking to appoint to a Roving Support Team providing mobile customer facing first line enquiry support within the Lanchester Library. The Team facilitate Ask Us! Enquiry Service seeking out customers to help, answering Library and IT queries picked up from anywhere in the building, referring more complex queries to professional staff where necessary. The role further involves providing basic support for all equipment and IT facilities and actively maintaining the Library noise and behaviour policy to ensure an effective study environment. As such you should be confident in the use of physical and electronic Library resources as well as common University IT packages and mobile technologies and demonstrate good communication skills.
This pro-active role will require you to use your experience and knowledge of the University Library and IT Systems, together with good communication and interpersonal skills, in order to deliver excellent levels of advice, solutions, and guidance to all of our customers. The post has great scope for personal and professional development, offering candidates the rewarding opportunity to support customers in their study at the University.
