Job description

Ranked top 15 in the Guardian for five years running, Coventry University is proud to be named as the University of the Year for Student Experience in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019. People are taking notice of us, so there's never been a better time to join.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and talented Web Officer to join our in-house web team.

This is a rare chance to play a key role in maintaining and developing the website presence for the Coventry University Group. You should be passionate about creating web pages and functionality that leads to a great user experience.

You will relish the challenge of balancing day to day activity, project work and the creation of exciting landing pages for our paid-for campaigns. Updating the website in line with content calendars and delivering on deadline will be key.

We are looking for someone who has extensive knowledge of Content Management Systems (experience of using an Episerver CMS would be an advantage) and who has played a key role in website development previously. A working knowledge of editing HTML and CSS is essential but you will be partnered with developers to create more complex code.

You will be the guardian of the university's web style guide and follow processes that promote high-quality development based on W3C standards.

The post holder will be required to work closely with non-technical staff, the wider digital team and our web development agency, so should be comfortable liaising with staff, students and suppliers.

Your day-to-day activity will sometimes be hectic, but you will be surrounded by individuals who are enthusiastic and proactive.

We also offer a great range of benefits, such as contributory pension schemes, a generous holiday allowance and access to a range of discounts and offers exclusively available to staff. All this and more makes Coventry University a great place to work.

If you'd like a role with a forward thinking organisation, then please complete an application form. We'd love to hear from you!
