Overview:

Applicants are invited to apply for the position of Procurement and Finance Officer

Software compliance, Asset and License (PFOsal) based in Business Support Services within IT Services; the role will deliver a professional software support service focused on customer care, license compliant and cost effective. The duties include but not limited to:

  • The PFOsal is responsible for aiding to ensure compliance with all the universities software procedures and processes
  • The PFOsal will endeavour to reduce the overall annual spend on software working with an external third party supplest to deliver the above goals
  • Communicate and consult with staff members and colleagues across the University
  • To manage the University’s software portfolio working with an external specialist third party
  • Experience of being in a software licensing role
  • Experience of server licensing
  • Working knowledge of vendor license models such as Microsoft, Oracle, and VMware etc.)
  • Experience of a SAM tool such as License Dashboard
  • Confident and able to engage with customers of differing technical abilities

This is a permanent position (35 hours per week). The salary range of £33,615- £39,483 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan after a qualifying period.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
