University College is Durham’s oldest College, founded in 1833. The College has about 800 undergraduate students and 500 postgraduate students.

The Assistant Senior Tutor at University College supports the Master and the Vice-Master- Senior Tutor in matters concerning student support and admissions, with particular responsibilities in some areas concerned with maintaining and developing the college community. The Assistant Senior Tutor will engage actively with the College at all levels and support the Senior Management Team to develop a programme that will support and promote student personal and career development, in line with the University’s Wider Student Experience Strategy, and increasing the diversity of the student body.
