A member of the university’s senior leadership team, the Director of Home Student Recruitment is a newly created role which will be responsible for developing and leading a strategy to maximize growth, working collaboratively with the Academic Deans and the wider academic community. Focusing on home student recruitment initiatives and associated new development activity, you will drive performance in accordance with the University’s ambitions and financial targets. Leading and managing a specialist team of recruitment professionals; and working alongside other colleagues in Marketing as well as Enterprise and Innovation, you will strive to increase Sunderland’s appeal to a nation-wide student population in a highly competitive domestic recruitment market-place. This will include utilization of market analysis and intelligence to inform strategic and tactical decision making across the university and the development of marketing strategies that are swift to respond to changes in the environment, new opportunities and recruitment patterns.  

Qualified to a post-graduate or professional level you will have significant experience of leadership in large and complex environments and a deep understanding of student recruitment matters and the wider strategic higher education environment.
