Human Resources Adviser
Salary: £29,159 to £34,370 per annum - including London Allowance

Applications are invited for three newly created posts of Human Resources Advisers in the Department of Human Resources.
The College has recently restructured its academic function and with effect from 1 August 2019 has a new six School structure.These new human resources posts have been created to provide professional human resources support and advice to a number of schools as well as acting as a member of the wider Human Resources Operational Team. The successful candidates will be based in a number of Academic Schools for up to four days per week with one day based in the central Human Resources Department.
The role holders will play a key role in providing consistent, accurate and timely human resources advice and support on a day to day basis liaising with human resources colleagues, including other members of operations, reward and benefits, training and development and the Business Partners, as appropriate. Working closely with a range of managers and administrative colleagues in Schools and Departments, postholders will need to develop strong and effective working relationships to be successful and be prepared to challenge and recognise when to seek assistance as appropriate.
Post holders will use a range of human resources systems including the College’s Human Resources and Payroll system, Resourcelink, and on-line recruitment system, Stonefish, inputting data, providing advice and support on the grading of posts using the College’s formal job evaluation scheme, HERA, and generating and signing documentation where applicable. Postholders will be members of the Human Resources Operations team and will be based in the Human Resources Department for a minimum of one day per week inputting and leading on, as applicable, project and process work as directed.
To be successful applicants will need to be excellent communicators who can demonstrate strong human resources operations experience and advisory skills and their application, excellent attention to detail and significant working knowledge of employment law. Experience of successfully using an online HR and Payroll and online recruitment system are required for this role together with a good understanding, and ideally application of a recognised job evaluation scheme. Some experience of designing and improving policies and processes and successfully implementing improvements is required for these positions together with a good working knowledge of rewards and benefits matters.
