Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the School of Biomedical Sciences (Ref.: 497191), to commence as soon as possible for two to three years, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree preferably in Biomedical Sciences, Bioengineering, Biological Science or a related discipline, with experience in molecular biology, mammalian cell culture, and/or animal handling techniques. They should be organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a team. The appointee will participate in research projects relating to cutting-edge genome engineering, synthetic biology and combinatorial genetics technologies. The aim of the project is to combine rational protein design with directed evolution in mammalian cells to identify artificially evolved biomolecules to reprogram cells for regenerative medicine applications. Enquiries about the post should be sent to Dr. Ralf Jauch at ralf@hku.hk. A full publication list of Dr. Jauch can be found at https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/?term=ralf+jauch. Those who have responded to the previous advertisement (Ref.: 495532) need not re-apply.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.

The University only accepts online application for the above post. Applicants should apply online and upload an up-to-date C.V. Review of applications will start as soon as possible and continue until October 31, 2019, or until the post is filled, whichever is earlier.
