SENIOR AUDITOR, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALISTAudit Division, to perform process reviews and integrated audits--including the assessment of technological and operational risks--in a complex, decentralized, client service-oriented environment. Will use data analytics and traditional internal audit methodologies to examine the adequacy of the Institute's information security controls and technology platform and process evaluations, design and implement written audit procedures and programs, author and present written reports to Institute management, and contribute to global IT risk assessments. Responsibilities include analyzing data, identifying trends, and interpreting and presenting results of work, including recommendations, for consumption by Institute management at various levels. Will report to an audit services supervisor and work with multiple clients in a highly collaborative, matrixed team environment. 

The Audit Division conducts audit and advisory engagements of Institute-wide and department, lab, and center (DLC) level processes and control systems.  

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: bachelor's degree, preferably with a concentration in information technology, accounting, business administration, or related field; at least five years’ information technology, internal auditing, and/or public accounting experience, preferably in an educational or nonprofit organization; strong analytical, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills; and professional certification (i.e., CISA, CISSP) or ability to obtain within eighteen months of employment. A solid understanding of the concepts of governance, risks, and controls; information security; project management; and systems development concepts is essential. An understanding of information technology standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO and/or COBIT) and their application within a complex, distributed, research-intensive environment strongly desired. Working knowledge of electronic audit tools (i.e., Arbutus, Cognos, audit management software, etc.), data analytic concepts, and ERP systems (SAP) preferred.  Job #17697-10
