Your new role

Are you a strong administrator with outstanding attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent client service? 

As a Hospital Placement Officer, you will be responsible for the administrative coordination of fieldwork programs within the School at one or more sites in the metropolitan area including, but not limited to, Fiona Stanley Hospital. In consultation with the site-based hospital Clinical Dean and the Director, Clinical Education at our Bentley campus, you will allocate students to placement sites and manage all aspects of their fieldwork placement.  It is envisaged that you will be primarily based at the fieldwork site with your responsibilities including student orientation/induction, monitoring student compliance with mandatory requirements, coordinating the submission of student assessments including reports, fieldwork competency forms from placement facilities and supervisors, assisting with practical exams, and stakeholder liaison with clinicians and other staff at placement sites.

You will bring to the role

  • A degree or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education and training.
  • Demonstrated experience in data entry and the ability to maintain accurate records is required, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated communication skills with proven experience in providing quality client service is essential.
  • The ability to manage conflicting priorities, work autonomously as well as part of a team, and develop strong working relationships with various stakeholders is paramount to your success in this role.

Previous hospital-based experience coordinating fieldwork placements and programs is desirable.
