About the opportunity
You will provide general administrative support under general direction including preparing documents, maintaining records, updating web materials, responding to queries, exploring matters, and sourcing solutions etc for the work area. As the first point of contact for the office, you will use your strong administrative and organisational skills in order to coordinate and undertake a range of operational activities on an ongoing basis.

- effective and tactful communication skills (both verbal and written)
- ability to problem solve, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines
- excellent computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office (in particular Excel)
- experience working in a tertiary education environment
- working knowledge of timetabling/rostering of student activities
The School of Social and Political Sciences (SSPS) comprises the Departments of Anthropology, Government and International Relations, Political Economy, Sociology and Social Policy, and Peace and Conflict Studies.
