MEDICAL ASSISTANTMIT Medical, to be responsible for assisting physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurses with the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients during and between office visits and for performing other tasks consistent with medical assistant training and skills. Will act as the primary liaison contact between clinical staff and patients; play an active role in preparing for the daily operations of patient visits as well as implementing key activities; and lead the twice-daily huddle sessions to ensure all pertinent patient information is communicated between all clinical staff, including having all appropriate materials available so that care is delivered effectively and efficiently.  Will also manage HealthELife requests, ensure that patients comprehend medical treatment information provided by each provider, and use the best medium to follow up with each patient to ensure treatment plan compliance. 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  graduation from an accredited medical assistant program or medical assistant certification (AAMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA); two years’ related experience in a physician’s office setting; excellent critical thinking, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; diplomacy, sound judgment, and problem solving ability; and attention to detail and accuracy.  Must be able to comply with established risk management and safety procedures and with all local, state, and federal privacy and confidentiality rules and regulations; maintain CPR certification and participate in site-based CPR drills; and to prioritize and see tasks through to completion in a complex and busy environment.  A national medical assistant certificate is preferred. Job #17687-5
