Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Gastrointestinal Tract Cancer in the Department of Pathology (Ref.: 496973), to commence as soon as possible for three years, with the possibility of renewal.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in biological sciences, biomedicine or a related discipline. They should be self-motivated with proven experience and a good publication record. Experience in primary cell culture, molecular biology, flow cytometry, imaging and animal studies is preferred. The appointee will work under the supervision of Professor S.Y. Leung (http://www.hku.hk/patho/staff/list/syleung.html) to characterize tumor driver genes in gastrointestinal tract cancer using 3D organoid cultures and genome editing technology as part of a theme-based research project. The main focus will be on integrative analysis of genomics data and functional characterization of novel cancer related genes as discovered by genomics approach.
