ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT 2, Facilities-Repair and Maintenance Division, to perform a variety of administrative duties for an assigned team.  Primary responsibilities include reviewing, updating and creating work orders; ensuring SAP is updated in a timely and accurate fashion; and maintaining accurate equipment records in SAP.  May perform field audits to identify various equipment for record keeping; create schedules for maintenance plans; run MRP reports and review available inventory for scheduled jobs; create purchase orders; maintain accurate regulatory records; and perform other duties as assigned. 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  a high school diploma or its equivalent; at least three years’ administrative, office, or related experience; ability to recognize needs of the work group and how it impacts other areas at MIT and understand role relative to all areas; advanced-level computer software skills and ability to easily negotiate the internet and perform searches; excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to represent the work area and the larger MIT community; attention to detail and accuracy; self-motivation; ability to work both independently and a part of a team; and willingness to handle machine components for purposes of inventory and distribution to various trades.
