Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor in Radiography

DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TECHNOLOGY AND INFORMATICS

The Department of Health Technology and Informatics (HTI) is one of the constituent departments of the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences hosting the disciplines of Medical Laboratory Science and Radiography.  The Department offers academic programmes at various levels, from Bachelor’s degree all the way to PhD degree.  There are currently about 30 faculty members, with about 20 technical and administrative personnel, plus around 90 research students and research staff, 200 postgraduate students, and 660 undergraduate students in the Department.  HTI is a leading academic department in the above professional disciplines with strong commitment to quality teaching and research.

Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor in Radiography (two posts) (Ref. 19071003)

The appointees will be required to (a) contribute actively to the academic development of Medical Imaging and/or Radiation Therapy; (b) contribute to the teaching/learning activities in Medical Imaging and/or Radiation Therapy, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels; (c) engage actively in relevant research, consultancy and other scholarly activities; and (d) undertake academic and administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Department. 

Applicants should have (a) a PhD degree in the area of Medical Imaging and Radiation Science (MIRS) or other closely related fields; (b) strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research; and (c) a strong record of output in research and development that is commensurate with the appointed grade.

Preference will be given to those with a professional qualification related to MIRS and relevant clinical experience. 

Candidates with excellent teaching, publication and research collaboration track records will be considered for appointment at the level of Professor / Associate Professor.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.
