The School of Life Sciences is part of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and has a strong reputation for Research and Teaching. This role is the face of our School and the first contact for both visitors, staff and students with a primary focus on Reception provision and Administrative support in order to assist the smooth running of a busy School. 

Throughout the Reception/Business Apprenticeship programme, support is provided by Professional Development and the person appointed will be allocated a mentor within the School of Life Sciences. On the job training and support will be given to the successful applicant to enable them to gain the skills and knowledge required. You will gain skills, experience and confidence in working as part of a friendly dedicated team, in delivering administrative support and event management to our large School of Academics, Research Associates/Fellows and Students.  The School will provide you with good administration experience and potential to progress along your chosen career route.
During your time at the University, you will be able to take part in a wide range of University activities. The University offers a range of benefits, including discounted bus and train travel for employees.

This job is available now and is offered for 18 months enabling the successful candidate to undertake their Reception/Business Apprenticeship programme. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours).
