Applications are invited for appointment as Principal Professional Practitioner (holding the title of Deputy Clinical Director in HKU Health System) in the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 497151), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a recognized university degree with medical, nursing or health related professional qualifications, and at least 15 years' relevant experience in the respective healthcare disciplines including experience in hospital commissioning and administration. They should be a strong and diligent leader and be able to work under pressure, with a good sense of teamwork and demonstrated ability to connect and communicate effectively with people of diverse background.
An excellent command of English and Chinese (including proficiency in Putonghua); a high level of communication, interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills; and good computer literacy are required. The appointee will be expected to play a leading role in the HKU Health System team and provide a high level of administrative support in the establishment and development of Teaching Hospital projects in Hong Kong and the Mainland. Overseeing all clinically-related aspects of the work of the HKU Health System team, he/she will have to work closely with external parties, supervise junior administrative staff and clerical staff, and perform any other duties as assigned. Occasional travelling outside Hong Kong may be required.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
