Admissions Assistant, Full time, Permanent 

A full time opportunity has arisen to join our Admissions team as an Admissions Assistant within Edinburgh Napier University. The Admissions team is based within International Operations and Student Recruitment. The team is responsible for ensuring an efficient, responsive and fair admissions process for applicants, ensuring procedures are carried out in accordance with the requirements of external bodies such as UKVI, UCAS and the QAA Code of Practice framework. The team makes centralised decisions on undergraduate and postgraduate applications (UK/EU/Overseas); manages the admissions process to meet student population targets; and plan and manages the annual clearing confirmation operation. 

The role 

As an Admissions Assistant you will be responsible for delivering a high quality, customer-focused, efficient and accurate admissions service for all our customers.  
A key part of the role is ensuring that decisions on applications to study at Edinburgh Napier are made quickly, effectively, transparently and in line with our Admissions Policy.  You will be responsible for liaising with applicants and will support our activities to attract students to study at Edinburgh Napier.  

You will also be responsible for ensuring international students have the necessary documentation to apply for a visa to study at the University. Finally, you will liaise with colleagues within International Operations & Student Recruitment, Schools and other Professional Services, on a range of admissions related topics

Who we are looking for 

You will be able to demonstrate excellent customer service and administrative skills, preferably gained within a Higher or Further Education environment. 
You will have good data processing skills, high attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to demonstrate the ability to work well within a team. 

Some knowledge of admissions process is desirable. Occasional evening and weekend working is required to support peak period throughout this year
